    Your conditions for boarding

    Whichever train you take, there are three options, subject to availability:

    • Travel with your bike1 unassembled and stored in the dedicated spaces on board our trains.
    • Travel with your folding bike, if it is folded and measures no more than 90 x 130 x 50 cm when folded.
    • Travel with your bike disassembled, provided that it is transported in a special bag and that the bag measures a maximum of 90 x 130 x 50 cm.

    On the Transilien

    Travel free of charge in the Île-de-France region with your bike2:

    • Monday to Friday before 6:30 a.m., between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and after 7:30 p.m. ;
    • Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, with no time restrictions;
    • whatever the time of day or day, in the event of heavy traffic, you cannot use your bike to access the train;
    • tip: opt for a folding bike and travel without restrictions and without disturbing other passengers.

    On board a TER

    On most TER trains, your bike travels free of charge, suspended or placed in a special space. These spaces are accessible subject to availability, often without reservation. However, there are exceptions in certain regions, with their own reservation procedures.

    Your INOUI TGV journey

    Travelling with an unfolded, unassembled bicycle

    • You must reserve a space for your bike when you buy your train ticket. The cost is €10 per bike and per journey.
    • Your bike must then be stored in a dedicated space, and you will be allocated a seat close to your bike.
    • Reservations for your bike must be made when you buy your train ticket. For this reason, cyclists cannot travel with non-cyclists. To travel with non-cyclists, separate reservations are required.
    • If your search returns no results, it's because the TGV INOUI equipment has no dedicated space or no more space available. You can always take your bike apart and store it in a bag, free of charge and without having to make a reservation.

    Travelling with a folded or dismantled bike

    • Your folded bike can travel with you as luggage, provided it measures no more than 90 x 130 x 50 cm when folded.
    • Your disassembled bike in a labeled bag with maximum dimensions of 90 x 130 x 50 cm can also travel with you as luggage. Your bike must be dismantled before accessing the platform, stored completely in its transport bag and placed in the baggage area on board INOUI TGVs.

    Not all bicycles are accepted on board: recumbents, tricycles, cargo bikes, longtails, trailers and bicycles in cardboard boxes are not allowed.

    Your INTERCITÉS trip

    Each INTERCITÉS train has a space for transporting bicycles. Reservation of this space is mandatory 3 and must be made at the same time as ticket purchase.

    • The cost is €10 per bike per journey on daytime INTERCITÉS trains (Paris-Limoges-Toulouse, Paris-Clermont-Ferrand, Bordeaux-Marseille) or on night-time INTERCITÉS trains (Paris-Briançon, Paris-Nice, Paris-Cerbère, Paris-Toulouse-Matabiau, Paris-Tarbes).
    • On INTERCITÉS lines Toulouse-Hendaye, Nantes-Lyon, Nantes-Bordeaux and Nancy-Lyon, the cost is €5 per bike per journey.

    If you're traveling with an unmounted, unfolded bike, you can take up to 1 piece of labeled luggage per person, with maximum dimensions of 70 x 90 x 50 cm (suitcase, large backpack, hiking bag, sports bag), 1 labeled double bike bag and 1 piece of labeled hand luggage with maximum dimensions of 40 x 30 x 15 cm (backpack, shopping bag, computer bag).

    If you are traveling with a folded or disassembled bicycle in a bag, you can take up to 1 folded or disassembled bicycle per person, in a labeled bag with maximum dimensions of 90 x 130 cm, 1 labeled double bicycle bag and 1 labeled piece of hand luggage with maximum dimensions of 40 x 30 x 15 cm (backpack, shopping bag, computer bag).

    Not all bicycles are accepted on INTERCITÉS trains: recumbents, tricycles, tandems, cargo bikes, longtails and trailers are not allowed.

    To book or not to book?
    Reserving a seat for an unmounted bike is compulsory3 on all INTERCITÉS trains. If your search does not produce any results when you make your reservation, this means that there are no more seats available for your bike.

    Folded or dismantled, stored in a bag (maximum 130 x 90 cm), it does not need a reserved seat.

    Book your ticket

    Failure to comply with the baggage policy on board TGV INOUI and INTERCITÉS trains may result in the payment of a minimum of €50 per item of non-conforming or excess baggage (maximum €150).

    On board OUIGO Grande Vitesse trains, your folding or demountable bike, stored in a bag, is charged at €5.

    On board OUIGO Train Classique trains, you can choose between :
